It is good to back in Albany working on the Lyall Case. The most difficult part of working the Yosemite Case was evading the press. Profilers like to work behind the scenes.

USA - Thursday, April 08, 1999 at 14:04:44 (EDT)Well, even though I can't believe it, another birthday has gone by. I am sorry that Suzy could not spend her 21st birthday with her friends and loved ones. Suzy, I have put up some birthday decorations for you on my page - Happy Birthday. To Doug, Mary, Steve, and Sandy - my thoughts and prayers have been with you today. With all my Love,
renée renee <softissue@aol.com>
ballston spa, ny USA - May The Lord Jesus Christ be with you today. Today is Suzanne's Birthday. I know this is a very difficult day for the Lyall Family. From a man that works with the Angels ... I would like you all to know that God is alive and well and God does not condone evil. Evil cannot destroy what God has created. Look to the Heavens, a day will come when you all will reunite with Suzy again. In God We Trust. Deliver the evil ones unto me Oh Lord.

Altamont, NY USA - I am a student at SUNY Albany and just want to say that your daughter is in everyone's hearts. I pray for her safe return. By the way - Maybe you should give a psychic a try - I have heard of many success stories with them. I wish you the best of luck
Seth <trixter3@juno.com>
Albany, NY USA - I am a 1993 graduate of BS High School, like Suzy is. I did not know her, but my deepest sympathy and concern goes out to the family.
A.L.
New York, NY USA - To Suzanne's abductor: I realize you made the decision to walk down the dark path years ago entrusting hate, anger, and fear as your mentors, but even Darth Vader confronted Luke. There may be some small vestige of the good side left in you and I ask you now to let go of your hate and surrender. You know as well as I do that you are not the only one who knows the truth and someday soon the truth will set us free and lead concerned parties to Suzanne. Suzanne is as good as found, it has already happened, it is just a matter of time.
Bill

watervliet, ny USA - I would like to express my sympathy to the Lyall Family in light
of their situation. So far, I have been following the Suzy's
appearance with keen interest and it seems that I may have a picture
what transpired following the disappearance, based on the information
placed by Mr. Lyall, Garland Nelson, State Investigator James Horton
and information I have collected from the Internet. if anyone else would
like to share with me anything regarding the case, please send me a
message as soon as possible. I would like for the family to have peace of
mind and God's protection over them as the ordeal continues.
Thank you very much and may God bless you folks.

USA - Hello to all of Suzy's friends, and relatives.. I really don't know what to say, I found this site through a board on Yahoo.. All I can sa is that I too wish I had known Suzy, from what I have read about her she was a truley wonderful person, and I am sure a true friend to all her friends.. I am a painfully shy person, and have had to fight through many years of being a loner, and could have used a friend like Suzy many times, but I somehow made it through that time and through college, and am now an assistant manager for General Cinema... Anyway I want you to know that I will pray for suzy's safe return home to you her family, and I will keep You her parents, brother, and sister in my prayers as well... May God keep Suzy safe at all times, and bless you all forever..

I just wanted to let you her parents know that we keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Burnt Hills, NY USA - My thoughts and prayers are with you...I pray your daughter is returned to you... Terry <rhiannonway@connect.ab.ca>
Edmonton, Canada - I saw a poster for you today, Suzy. It was one of the new colored ones. While I was driving today I noticed it in the back window of an older gentleman's car. When I saw it, I thought of your poster that I keep my my rear window of my car, and of the poster that Ryan keeps in his back windshield. I thought of all of the people passing my car that have stopped to read it. Nearly every time that I park in a public lot I see at least one person reading it. Last summer I saw at least 6 people reading it when I went on vacation in Maine. Now, just think about it. Maybe if everyone put a poster of you in their cars, we could get the word out even more. There can never be enough of your smiles in the world, Suzy. I hope that some folks who read this entry agree and add a poster to their windows too. Forever missing you,
Renée Renée <softissue@aol.com>
ballston spa, ny USA - My heart goes out to you and all of Suzanne's loved ones. I found my way here through renee's site. I can not begin to imagine the pain and suffering you all are feeling. I am so sorry this has happened to your family and I sincerely hope that she will be found.

Miller place, NY USA - To anyone with knowledge of Suzanne Lyall beyond March 2,1998. Recently a brutal
triple slaying at the Starbucks in Georgetown (a section of the nation's capital)was solved
after 2 years. Law enforcement in D.C. steadily and patiently worked this case 24/7, but
were stymied until the golden tip came in and the criminal was immediately arrested. The
brave young woman tipster had this knowledge for about a year, but in fear for her life did
not come forward. A re-broadcast of AMW and a heart to heart talk with her mom
convinced her that she could be the next victim because the shooter had actually told her
and he could have gotten paranoid. I ask you to see yourself in that tipster's shoes with
Suzanne's abductor potentially abducting you or worse. God will forgive you for being
afraid. Put yourself in Suzanne's place and empathize. The next move is yours. We all make
choices everyday - make the right one today. Thank you for your attention.

USA - "Shed me a tear and pluck a violet for my grave,
And with your soulful gaze, look gently down upon me.
Dedicate a tear to me, and do not be ashamed to weep,
For your tears will be the most beautiful pearls in my crown."

I love you Suzy.
ShantaTo all the people who want to help in the search for Suzanne. I have personally been sending emails to 3 specific organizations: Public Libraries, law enforcement, and media sources. Would anyone like to do the same? Perhaps we could coordinate our efforts via email? I can't possibly be as efficient as, let's say, 10 people could be. I do try though. If coordinating efforts is too awkward let me tell you what I do so you can do it individually. First type 3 form letters to send: (1)to Police/Sheriffs/Marshals deparments (2)to newspapers/radio stations (3) public libraries. It is possible to copy information directly from the Lyall's site to a MS Word document - it saves time. In the letters that you will email just politely ask if you can send them a flyer to post or include a link to the Lyall's website and let them print it. I can send interested parties a copy of the form letters I use - this could also save you time and of course you can modify it as you see fit. Perhaps you can set up your own teams independent of me. The sky's the limit.

Hoosick Falls, NY USA - I noticed that a lot of the guestbook entries are from NY. NY is a big state, but it's not the whole enchilada. I suggest telling relatives in other states about Suzanne or since Spring Break is coming up post a flyer or two at your destination, Daytona Beach, etc. These are great ways to spread the word.
Bill
VA USA - I still think of Suzy every day. I still carry and hand out the posters, but I wish I knew what else to do. Donna and I only met her a few times but that was enough to give us a great sense of loss. It can't compare to what your families have been through, but we miss her very much. -Ed

UAE - I have 2 simple suggestions for anyone wanting to help in the search for Suzanne: (1) post a flyer at your local public library and (2)post a flyer at your local 2 year college or 4 year university. Libraries are often focal points of the community and Spring Break is coming up soon with young adults travelling everywhere. God not only requires prayer, but action too. Good luck to us all.

Today is the anniversary of your adoring daughter's disappearance and my heart goes out to you and your family. I,myself, have a teenage daughter, fifteen years old and I can't begin to imagine the heartache you and your family are going through. All I can do is pray for her safe return and pray that you get some answers. I also would like to thank you for your efforts to better our children's safety on college campuses. Even at a time like this you are thinking of the future of others and soon that will include my daughter who will be heading off to college in just a few short years. Again my prayers are with you and I live locally so if I can be of any assistance to you with anything at all please don't hesitate to contact me.

Perhaps he should be checked out as the possible abductor since he seems privy to information that others don't have. Personally, in my opinion, he should be ashamed of himself for his lack of tact and sympathy for a family obviously going through alot!!!

Mr. and Mrs. Lyall,
I saw your interview with Matt Lauer this morning and your story struck my heart.
Together, my husband and I have 5 daughters between the ages of 5 and 15. They are the lights of our lives and I simply cannot imagine what you must be going through.
My life, too, would stop. Time would cease, and I would question so many things. I would be so afraid that others would stop looking for her, as I am certain you are. I know that I would never stop looking.
Your beautiful daughter's image is forever in my heart....and I will not forget her face.
I offer you sympathy, prayer, and the hope that one day you will hear something about Suzanne that will help you both~
I am so very sorry.

Ballston Spa, NY USA - It seems that cyclic patterns never change. I can remember a few months ago when I wrote a similar response in this guest book. Furr was flying, nasty words were being exchanged, and nothing good was coming out of the guest book. And now, the same is happening. I understand that tensions are high and I know that not everyone can "like" everyone else. But, I don't feel that this is the place for striking others with cruel words. We ALL have our OWN feelings about what has happened to Suzy. And we ALL have the RIGHT to speak them out. But, can't we do that in a mature way? I miss Suzy, I wish there was something that I could do to change her situation. I am sure that we all feel the same way. We should be putting our efforts into one pool and drawing from that, not bickering amoungest ourselves. In regards to "Jenna"s entry - I couldn't agree more! Let's channel some of our energy into getting Suzy back - into getting some closure. renee <softissue@aol.com>
ballston spa, ny USA - It's been a while since I posted here but I read this page nearly every day. It really turns my stomach to think that people are putting all this effort into bashing Rich and even his Mom. Just think where we might be if that effort was used to increase awareness about Suzy and her dissapearance. Although I may be quite a distance from Suzy's Family and Rich and his family I do hope you all know that my thoughts are with you. I think about Suzy and everyone involved every single day. I just want you to know I'm still out here , thinking , hoping and praying.
Jenna
Nashville , TN USA - It is indeed sad that people do not follow a basic rule of survival - know your surroundings. A Walkman, puhleez! Gotta have those tunes going all the freaking time! I went to VCU in Richmond, VA and I'm happy to say we had a good police department that patrolled the campus and police call boxes everywhere. It was a reasonably safe environment unless of course you voluntarily submitted to hazing at a frat, but that's another story. Don't let Suzanne's story fade away. She is out there somewhere. Figure out some way to remind people that it's not safe out there or anywhere. Be creative and brainstorm with friends. The sky's the limit.
Bill
VA USA - I have just started at SUNYA this semester, and I think about Suzanne each and every day. Those incidents the past couple of weeks of the bogus abduction attempts was quite distressing to me. Somehow it seemed to tarnish the validity of Suzanne's disappearance, how could anyone make up the terror she must have felt? I am saddened by how the enormity of what occured on that campus seems to have just slipped out of the consciousness of most of the student population there. There is a picture of Suzanne in the Student Center locked up in a non-descript glass display case. Locked up as if somehow protecting her. Who was protecting her that night a year ago? I have class on campus Thursday nights, I have never seen any Campus Security Officers patroling the darkness whether by foot or in a car. And most of the young women I see walking at that time of night are oblivious to their surroundings or worse even, wearing Walkman stereos. How can anyone rest knowing she was taken from there? I certainly cannot. I for one, will always think of her while I am on campus as well as off and pray for her safe return. May god bless your family and those who love Suzanne.

I understand the great dear of pain that you all are going through now for the past year. I know from my own past experience of my friend. VA USA - Suzy ... I have been quiet lately in regards to your guestbook. I have been reading all of the other entries, though, and it makes me so proud to say that I was a friend of yours. So many people have said that they wish that they could have known your smile, your friendship, YOU. These next few weeks are going to be so hard - I can't believe that it has been nearly a year. I can still remember the night that I saw your story on the news for the very first time. I saw that picture of you and I almost fell on the floor. I was thinking that it was just some big mix up - but it hasn't been anything close to that. I hope that where ever you are, you are not suffering, but instead you know how much we all miss and love you. To Suzy's family and friends, please know that I am thinking and praying of you nearly 100% of each of my waking days. With all my Love,
renée Renée <softissue@aol.com>
Ballston Spa, ny USA - I appeal to the friends and relatives of the Nike Man to examine your hearts and know that the right thing is to turn him in to the police. You may feel a loyalty to him based on growing up with him or sharing military duty with him, etc., but knowing what you know about him, would you let him around your children? No one is an island. Someone has to know. I mean if one of my friend's faces were painted on a billboard I would sure as hell know! If you are a God-fearing person I know God will forgive you for being afraid. I mean this guy is dangerous and could pose a threat to you, but ignoring him doesn't make him less dangerous. The Nike Man is dangerous period and is in desperate need of help. Do society, the Lyalls, and yourself a favor and make the call. Remember God is watching us from a distance.

Tn. USA - Ms Hicks:
The abductor is living in a complete state of denial. Only a miracle will make break him down and give Suzanne back. This irrational person fears us and well he should because there is nothing as powerful as the relentless pursuit of parents and friends as the endeavor to find their loved ones wrongly taken from their proper station in life. This slug has resisted our efforts, but in the end he will fail. Resistence is futile.
Bill
VA USA - Give Her Back
Look in the mirror, where ever you are
And think about what you lack
The courage to admit what you have done
It's simple - just give her back
Return her to those who love her
For we do not understand your attack
You hold the key to all of this
Unlock the mystery - just give her back
Reach down deep inside and find
A part of you that must surely know
What you've done is truly wrong
Make it right - and let her go
Confess to someone what you have done
Show them a clue, a trail, a track
Go to the police, call 911
Whatever you do - just give her back

Anchorage, Ak USA - After seeing Mr. Lyall on the local news last night, I decided to read his letter. As I sit here with tears in my eyes after reading it, my heart breaks for him and his family. Living in Albany, just down the road from SUNY, makes it even more of a harsh reality for me that something like this can happen to ANYONE, ANYWHERE! AND being a new mother, I can't imagine what you're all going through. If it helps just a teeny, tiny bit, know that you're all in my prayers, as well as a safe return for Suzy. God Bless You All!! Dayton, OH USA - Mr. Lyall and Family,
Your courage is truly outstanding, but what else can a parent do? I hope you expression of love via the letter can reach some vestige of humanity that might still exist in the abductor's heart or in the heart of someone who knows him. There are so many people that are thinking of you, your family and especially Suzanne. God Bless you.

Ballston Spa, NY USA - Hi,
Just wanted to let everyone know that I moved my site to the following URL:
http://missing.darklight.com
due to some circumstances beyond my control, the original missing.nycap.rr.com started pointing to the wrong place, and has not been updated. As a result, I've come to this conclusion which should work out for everyone involved.

Janice <janice012tritium.net>
El Cajon, CA USA - Dear Mr Lyall,
My name is Linda and I live here in the Capital District. I wanted to let you know that my prayers are with you. I, too, hope for the safe return of your daughter.
Your letter has touched me deeply on a very personal level. I was abducted by a stranger when I was twelve years old. I recently sent a letter to the man who took me. The tenor and tone of your letter is strikingly similar.
It is my sincerest hope that Suzanne has been treated gently and with kindness and consideration.
Please do not lose or abandon your faith...it is what kept me going through my scary and confusing ordeal.
Your courage and strength are an inspiration to me as I have only recently begun dealing with my abduction.
I recognize how fortunate I am that my ordeal lasted only an afternoon. I want you to know that through that April afternoon 23 years ago, when I had no certainty or assurances of release, I did know with certainty that my parents and brothers love me deeply and unconditionally. It was during that time that I, for the first time, genuinely understood how deeply I loved them.
I hope that brings you and your family some comfort...know that she carries you in her heart and she knows how deeply and abidingly you carry her in yours.
I pray that God does smile on your family this year and that you, your wife and your daughter rest peacefully.
Be gentle with yourselves.
Much warmth,
lin

COHOES, NY USA - I read with great interest your letter to the person responsible for the abduction of your daughter. I found it during a message from S. Daniel Carter of Security on Campus and their web messages regarding updates. My wife Susan and I will pray for, at minimum, a reply from your letter and hope that Suzanne will soon be back home.
My email is where I work, Personal Security & Safety Systems, Inc. Or web page is www.pssi.net. I trust you will find the product interesting. Our mission is to be the most trusted name in "personal" security, concentrating only on the personal side.
Our company is presently calling on college and university campuses, communities and business parks to introduce the Personal 911 System. We have just recently received two letters of intent from communities out in California, Atherton and San Mateo. We will be installing the system at Houston Baptist University later this summer.
Although it wasn't available in March of 1998, we strongly believe that the Personal 911 System will, when embraced by the Administration, will enhance student, faculty and administration safety on and off campus. The Smarty, the name of the device, immediately notifies a responding force of the persons photo ID, exact location and tracks them (on a monitor) in real time, allowing for maximum deployment of the closest officer or security professional to aid in the persons defense.
We hope to add many college campuses throughout the balance of this year. I have a gentleman who works with me out of his NY (Long Island) home, and another one out on the west coast. I might add that the service is provided at NO COST to the university. In light of all this we still face an obstacle.........many of the people we call on don't want to embrace the Personal 911 System because by doing so they may "appear" to be an unsafe campus ! We re trying to overcome the objection by saying completely the opposite, you will be viewed as "pro-active" and just adding to your already safe environment.
I am committed to continue to find the "pro-active" ones, and I am confident that someday in the not to distant future I will be able to say that the technology of PSSI had a dramatic impact on ones ability to enhance personal safety on campus and communities across the U.S..
Again, our prayers are with you.
Warm Regards,
Mike Markwood

TS
NY USA - I would just like to make an additional commentary on the person "Rich" from "Latham, NY".
I would tend to believe that this person is attempting to pose as me, in an attempt to make
people believe that I am the one saying that. I would like to clarify this right away:
that comment was *NOT* made by me. There is no evidence to support making a claim like that,
and saying something like that is just a horrible thing to say. Think of how it makes everyone
that cares feel. Apparently, this person didn't.
Rich Rich Condon <psi@darklight.com>
Latham, NY USA - I feel the need to respond to Rich from Latham, which I'm sure is not his real name. As far as I know there is no evidence that Suzanne is deceased or for that matter been harmed. Families always hold onto hope, no matter how slim, and rightfully so since miracles continue to happen. Having been in that "limbo state" myself I know that "moving on" is impossible until there are some answers to a disappearance. Families can move if their worst fears are confirmed, but not knowing is Hell. If you do know something that the police don't, come forward and allow Suzanne's family and loved ones to begin "moving on" with their lives.
Kathy
Cape Cod, Mass USA - She's dead...case closed...move on!

Latham, NY USA - Dear Lyall Family: Yahoo has a free message posting service where an individual can register and post a message to about 70 cities nationwide. If you do this get at least 2 different people on 2 different machines with 2 different Internet Service Provider accounts so you can double the amount of postings. Also email public libraries to ask if you can email or snail mail them a flyer, they are usually sympathetic to missing person situations. If you would like me to email flyers I can do a few per day. Take care and God bless you.
Bill <wakefield78@hotmail.com>
VA USA - Sir:
Please keep up your efforts to force university officials to cooperate with other police agencies.
My father was killed in a hit-and-run incident in August. Hours after his death, a SUNY student turned himself in.
Police believed he was a freshman with no record; police and the DA's office were very sympathetic to him. Yet from shortly after the incident I kept hearing rumors that the student had a bad reputation.
It was only because of my constant nagging that the DA's office found out the student was a sophomore and had a record. SOmeone within SUNY Public Safety handed over part of the student's record.
I have reason to believe their is a lot more to this guy's history than what has been revealed so far. However, SUNY under the guise of protecting a student's privacy refuse to reveal anything even to other agencies.
I can't help but wonder how many other investigations have been needlessly hampered by SUNY's misguided sense of protecting students.
If you have any suggestions as to how I can obtain an accurate record, I would appreciate it.

NY USA - Suzy and All,
Suzy ~ I feel like I know you I've thought about you so much. Wanted to sign your guest book to let you know while you were gone, I was here keeping the faith. You're going to come back and when you do ~ I want you to email me!
Listen everyone, if y'all,{yes I'm Southern},ever just want to talk, feel free to use the forum at WebbSleuths and we have a chatroom there you can meet in anytime. Any news?? Seems like it's been awhile without hearing anything so I came here hoping for something good. Maybe I'm just getting impatient ~ IMO, this has gone on long enough. Angel Hugs to Suzy's {{{{{Mom & Dad}}}} ~ You guys are in my heart and prayers. I can't imagine having to go through anything harder in this life. I'm a Mom and it's my worst nightmare.
Rich, I have a question ~ Can I copy some of the pictures from your site to WebbSleuths? We're getting around 15,000 hits per day - Can't hurt to spread the pictures around can it? Email me or post on Suzy's thread there and let me know. OK?
Come home Suzy ~ You're in our hearts and prayers.

I will not rest until this case closes. I go on an internship tomarrow, 12/16/98 to Geyser Elementary. While on duty I will keep my eyes open. If I spot something, I will contact the authorities at once. May god have mercy on her soul.
Shayne T. Pendrick Saratoga Springs, Ny USA - My heart goes out to you and to all other families who are so desperately searching for their children. I thank God that I have not had to deal with a situation like yours and pray I never will. My heart breaks everytime I hear of a child becoming a victim of violence. I cannot understand the increase in violence or why the punishment is not more severe when the perpetrators are apprehended. I will keep you and Suzanne in my prayers. God Bless you and may He safely return Suzanne to her loving family and friends. Mary <mjp54@excite.com>
KS USA - For Joe Friday: Why have another website? Because Suzy is still missing and the more exposure her photo gets, the sooner she will be found. My site alone generates about 500 visits a week to Suzy's pages. 500 people who see her pic and maybe can recognize her. Imagine if only 100 people create a website for Suzy - 50,000 views per week of Suzy's pic. Let's not attack anyone for their efforts. We all need to work together to bring hope to her family and friends and Suzy home! Tara Ruggieri <tara.nospam@sunnyday.com>

Walnut, CA USA - I hate to see such meaningless jargon going on in this guestbook. This is Suzy's guestbook. It was made for her- in honor of our friend whom we love and miss. Please, before you persecute someone for what they have said, think about what you are saying. I too have made a web page for Suzy. I made it months ago - just weeks after she disappeared. I pour my heart and soul into that page - it helps me deal with the sorrow that I am feeling. Suzy's information needs to be spread through the world. I want to help. I do not pretend to be more informative than Doug and Mary's page ... I do not pretend to be more important that Doug and Mary. I do not think that anyone else does either. What I do think is that anything can help in its own way. I hope that I have not offended anyone, but I feel that the point of this page has been missed. It is to talk about Suzy; to remember the good things, to help each other deal with the bad. Oh, now I am all teary!:) Good heavens I got myself all worked up. I believe I have gotten my point across. Suzy is a wonderful gal - when she sees this page she deserves to see how much we love her. Renee <softissue@aol.com> Ballston Spa, NY USA - I would like to clarify something for the readers of this page. My intentions in setting up the web site at http://missing.nycap.rr.com were not to try and take any information and keep it to myself. My intentions in doing this are to have more places available to find information. Search engines will have more to hit upon that could bring more people aware of the case, and could eventually lead to someone somewhere telling us something that could help. My intentions are also to help out other people in similar situations who do not have the resources to host their own web site. I feel the web is a very strong place for informing many many people of something, and everyone who is suffering from a loss such as this could benefit from such an exposure. The site itself, upon completition, will have contact information for EVERY possible source I can find, that includes myself, the Lyall family, the new york state police, FBI, and anyone else who has a crimes tips e-mail that could possibly be of some use - I am not trying to "horde" information for myself. The only reason why the only address that appears on the site at the date of this posting, is because I havn't had time to put together everything I want to put on there. I hope this clarifies things for some people. Rich Rich Condon <psi@darklight.com> Latham, NY USA - First, I want to let the Lyall Family know that I'm still down here doing all that I can , hoping , praying for Suzy and for all of her family. Second, the messages here have deviated from the purpose. The people come here are concerned about Suzy and her family. I don't think its right to say anything bad about ANYONE who is involved. THIRD, I have known Rich for years, and known Suzy for years, and have known about their engagement for a good long while. I think everyone who posted any type of accusations needs to think a bit more rather than post and lash out. To the Lyalls and the Condons and especially Rich, I would never say I know what you're going through, but I can say I'm doing my best to help bring Suzy back. I can say that I support you all, that we all want Suzy to be back warm ,safe and sound and we need to forget the accusatory nonsense and focus our efforts and be there for each other instead of working against each other. Love, Support and Caring from hundreds of miles away, Jenna AKA Shalimar Jenna nashville, tn USA - Rachel, while I have not gone through it (thank God), I can understand somewhat about your missing brother. Is he a local case? I am a missing children and parent advocate, and I can't place which case that would be. If you need any help, please let me know. My husband works for a missing child organization and we'd willing to see what we could do to bring attention to the case. My e-mail is below. (And I will keep your info confidential.)
Nancy <ourputer@aol.com>
Altamont, NY USA - All information and tips should go to the Lyalls AND law enforcement. The police must investigate any and every one if there is even the suspicion of foul play. Parallel investigations must go on and to give information to anyone who might be suspect is not a good idea. And why have another web site on Suzanne? The Lyalls' web site is very well done. By making a new web site, especially for tips, it looks like you're trying to get the information all to yourself, perhaps to keep it quiet? Suzy is THEIR daughter, their child, their little girl. Why would you even suggest your feelings and involvement have a higher priority? You respond so vehemently to anyone who even suggests knowing what you're going through. Why? And did you become engaged to Suzy before her disappearance, or after? Your original posts said "boyfriend" but now they say fiancee.
Joe Friday

Troy, NY USA - I'd like to let everyone here know that I have, with the permissions of Road Runner, setup another page dedicated to helping find missing people, especially Suzy. The page itself is still in its infancy (as the permission just on 12-3-98), but I would encourage everyone to go there and possibly help out with suggestions. The new URL will be http://missing.nycap.rr.com.
As for Rachael and Jennifer, I don't think either of you could possibly know what it is like, to spend nights alone, hoping to cry yourself to sleep but being unsuccessful, laying there staring at the wall, or ceiling, or whatever until there is litterally no tears left in you to cry, but yet you still manage to find some anyway. Maybe it is that you don't understand what its like to dedicate your life, your entire purpose in living, to other human being, to so fully trust and understand and love someone so much.... and then to have that just completely ripped away from you... having your soul shredded into little peices...
maybe you don't understand that...and I hope you never have to understand that, or feel anything at all like that... because let me tell you, it is the absolute worst feeling in the world. And you know what makes it worse? when someone, who doesn't even knows you, have the nerve to say that I shouldn't be informed of things because "who knows, maybe it was the fiance who did something." Thanks, alot.... :( Rich Condon <psi@darklight.com> Latham, NY USA - I hope you find your Suzanne. She sounds like a lovely person to be with. I, as well as I'm sure the Lyall family does, appreciates all the warm support that we have received from this bulletin system, but I think it might be for the best if we refrained from tossing out threats.
If someone has some information, I would hope that they would come forth and share it, as myself, my family, and the Lyall family, is suffering greatly from Suzy's loss, and showing such hositility might scare someone off who could potentially help.
Again, I thank everyone for their kind words and support, and I would hope that if anyone has ANY information at all, to please contact me at psi@darklight.com. All information will be kept completly confidential.
Thank you.. Rich Condon (Suzy's Fiance) <psi@darklight.com>

Stockton, Ca USA - I have never met you, Suzie, but I have a great feeling about you and the wonderful person you must be. I work with Donna C. and hear such heartwarming stories, reminiscences of you, and hopes for a future reunion, as she endures these painful months without you in her life. She has rallied many supporters to pray for your safe return, and I know she will never give up on that dream. So, when you are able, please come home to all those who know you and miss you tremendously! I'll even throw in two Beanie Babies to sweeten the deal!
Donna Gronau
NY USA - Suzy, I missed you terribly last night, and for the most idiotic of reasons. Ryan's CDRom won't work so we went to Babbages last night. I missed you being there. I missed your smiling face greeting us as soon as we walked into the store. I missed your stories and your laughter. I knew that if you were there, you would know what to do about the dumb computer. You would know how to fix it or what to do with it, because "Suzy will help me, she is so good at this stuff." I knew that if you were there I would just run up to you and hugg you and tell you what a sweetheart you are. But, you weren't there. I wish you had been. I can't wait until you are back. Someday. Monument, CO USA - I knew Rich since highschool ( so that's about nine years now). I only knew Suzy from the couple of times that I met her. I think that she is a great person, especially for Rich. I know what it is like to go through a loss. This should never have happened and hopefully there will be some resolution to all that has happened.
There will never really be an absence of anyone from our reality, as long as our hearts retain the spirits of the ones we love.
To everyone who has gone through this terrible mess, remember that hope was the last thing left in Pandora's box. Live well, laugh often, and love life.
Will Dudla <dudlaw@rosnet.strose.edu>
Clifton Park, NY USA - no matter what the ending is, no one can take away suzy's warm smile.

But alas it is not ours to question =(

Cindi <CindeeNY@aol.com>
Rock City Falls, USA - Our church, Latham Community Baptist Church, has been praying for Suzanne since shortly after she disapeared. The turmoil and pain Suzanne's family and friends must be going through must be tremendous and our church just wanted you to know we think about that from time to time and wish we could do something other than pray, but that is all we know to do right now. If you are like me, you get tired of hearing things like, "I will pray for you", because it is such a cliche. Please know that some people are thinking about you and especially that God cares, no matter what the current circumstances may look like.
As a pastor, I know the pain parents go through over their children can be immense, beyond what anyone can imagine who hasn't been through it. Only you know how much it hurts, but please also know that people out here are caring about you and Suzanne.
With respect and hopefulness,
Rev. Williams Rev. Charles Williams <lathamcbc@juno.com>
Latham, NY USA - Praying and thinking about you all the time Suzy.

Latham latham , USA - We say a prayer every day that Suzanne will be found. We hope there
is someone out there that knows something. I cannot imagine what it
would be like to have my daughter missing. I know that any mother
would want to know the whereabouts of her daughter. Think about how
all the people who knew Suzanne are feeling. Give them some peace of
mind.

Marshall, NC USA - To the Lyall family
My heart goes out to you all for your loss. I've never lost someone I loved like you have but since looking for "missing angels" is what I do I can feel your pain. I know it's not easy to go anywhere ever again that you remember going with Suzanne, especially the places she loved to go. I know everytime you see a coffeehouse/shop you'll think of her. The list goes on and on.
I'm sorry when I was up there that I was unable to spend more time looking.I think I may been on the verge of uncovering some things. At least to me anyway things were starting to look good. I always feel optimistic when I find good witnesses.
I hope the Stae Police uncover something soon. I think the answer lies within the hearts of a few, but in the meantime you have prayer from the hearts of many.
Sincerely,
David
David Fritchey <msangelin@aol.com>
tallahassee, fl USA - What can anyone say, but offer your a loving embrace to lend their support. My son, Bryan Nisenfeld disappeared February 6,1997 and the
university (Roger Williams University) waited six days to report him missing even thoguh they knew about the threatening and harassing phone calls
he was receiving. When I read the letter from the president of the college Suzanne
attended I was so much relieved that you were not subjected to the, in my opinion, the terrible ridicule and coverup we were left with my Roger Williams University.
On Labor Day of this year I held a demonstration near the campus and university officials tried to
shut me down and have me arrested. But the university where Suzanne attended offered their love and
support. The Nisenfelds offer Suzanne and her family and her friends our love and prayers. We hope she returns to
her loved ones very soon. I chant for my son everyday and I will begin chanting for Suzanne, your lovely daughter. God bless you all. If there is anything we can do please do not hesitate to contact us.
Though I am still battling with Roger Williams University regarding Bryan Nisenfeld, I will make the time to help you.
The chant is Buddhist: Nam*Myo*Ho*Ren*Ge*Kyo. It got me through many a tough day.
